DMCA Policy

This Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) Policy outlines the process we follow to address copyright infringement claims related to the game Star Trek™ Fleet Command and all related materials made available through our platform. We are committed to safeguarding the intellectual property of the creators, developers, writers, artists, and composers who contribute to the expansive universe of this game.

Our mission is to maintain a lawful, respectful, and collaborative environment for all players, alliance members, and content creators. This policy explains how we protect creative assets while allowing fair fan engagement and community contributions in a way that respects the rights of all parties involved.

Protected works include, but are not limited to: official ship designs, character likenesses, uniforms, species visuals, star systems, space station models, environmental art, in-game storylines, dialogues, lore, cinematic sequences, animations, special effects, soundtracks, sound effects, voice recordings, logos, promotional artwork, and any other elements associated with Star Trek™ Fleet Command. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, modification, or public display of these works without express permission is prohibited.

Examples of prohibited activities include extracting game files or models for redistribution, publishing datamined or unreleased content, creating derivative works that may cause confusion with official materials, or using the game’s branding to promote unrelated commercial products. Circumventing security measures or exploiting the game to gain unauthorized access to hidden or protected assets is also strictly forbidden.

We encourage fan-made content such as gameplay videos, fleet battle replays, guides, alliance strategy discussions, fan art, and lore-inspired creative writing. However, such works must not imply official endorsement, must not reveal unreleased or confidential content, and must not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of the game’s creators or licensors.

If you believe that your copyrighted work has been used in a way that constitutes infringement, you may submit a DMCA-compliant notice. A valid notice must include a description of the copyrighted work, the location of the allegedly infringing material, a good faith statement that the use is unauthorized, and a declaration affirming that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the rights holder.

Upon receiving a valid notice, we may remove or disable access to the infringing material, notify the user responsible for it, and request additional evidence if needed. Users found repeatedly violating copyright law may face account restrictions or permanent suspension.

If you believe that your content was removed or disabled due to error or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification. This must include identification of the removed content, its previous location, a statement of good faith belief that the removal was a mistake, and an affirmation of your legal right to use the content. After review, we may restore the content unless a further valid claim is received.

We acknowledge that certain uses of copyrighted material may fall under “fair use” or similar legal exceptions. Each case will be assessed individually, and we reserve the right to remove content that we believe infringes upon rights or disrupts the integrity of the Star Trek™ Fleet Command community.

Streaming and monetized gameplay content are generally allowed if they do not substitute for playing the game, reveal unreleased features, or misuse the game’s trademarks and branding in a way that suggests official partnership. Commercial use of game assets outside authorized channels is strictly prohibited.

This DMCA Policy may be updated at any time to reflect changes in law, technology, or community practices. Continued use of our platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. Our aim is to protect the creative foundation of Star Trek™ Fleet Command while fostering an active, respectful, and lawful community of captains, fleets, and explorers.
